[Watch] Match referee asks for a second toss after Laura Wolvaardt's call gets drowned in crowd noise in IND-W vs SA-W 3rd ODI
In a rare incident, match referee Narayanan Kutty asked for a second toss after South Africa women’s captain Laura Wolvaardt’s call couldn't be heard due to crowd noise ahead of the third and final ODI against India Women. The match is being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, June 23.
In a video shared by the Indian Cricket Team on Instagram, host Anjum Chopra was seen asking for a re-toss. India women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur flipped the coin again, Wolvaardt won the toss and chose to bat first. At the toss, she said:
“We gonna have a bat first today. Looks a bit dry, warmer, so hopefully, we can put a good score on the board.”
