[Watch] "Melbourne abhi bhi yaad aata hai?" - Fan taunts Haris Rauf over Virat Kohli's knock during The Hundred 2024 game

Pakistan and Welsh Fire speedster Haris Rauf copped taunts from a fan during The Hundred 2024 match against the London Spirit at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Thursday (August 1, 2024). The fan in question mocked the right-arm paceman over Virat Kohli's two sixes the Indian batter hit against him during the T20 World Cup 2022 match.

Kohli smacked two game-changing sixes off the pace spearhead's bowling in the 19th over of the innings at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during T20 World Cup 2022. With the 30-year-old fielding near the boundary in Thursday's match, the fan seized the opportunity by asking him if he still remembers Kohli's exploits during that game in Melbourne.

The former Indian captain eventually finished unbeaten on 82 as India won the dramatic fixture by four wickets in the final ball of the innings. The Pakistani speedster had dismissed Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav cheaply, but his efforts went in vain.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old bowled an outstanding spell of 17-10-20-3 in the fixture against the London Spirit on Thursday at Lord's. However, it could not prevent the Spirit from bagging their first victory of the tournament. The Welsh-based side also made only 94/9 in their innings, but Rauf and Matt Henry did well to take three wickets each.

While the Spirit lost seven wickets, they held their nerves to chase the target down in 87 deliveries.

The Welsh Fire will next face the Trent Rockets on Saturday, while the Spirit will lock horns with the Oval Invincibles on Sunday. Welsh, captained by Tom Abell, defeated the Manchester Originals in their opening bout, but went on to lose the remaining two.

They had finished seventh and eighth in the first two editions, respectively, but climbed to end fourth last year.
