[Watch] MI pacer Arjun Tendulkar stares aggressively at LSG batter Marcus Stoinis during IPL 2024 clash in Mumbai

Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Arjun Tendulkar stared aggressively at batter Marcus Stoinis in a follow-through during the IPL 2024 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium. Arjun got a chance in the MI playing XI for the first time this season on Friday, May 17. Mumbai Indians spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was rested to make a place for him in the side.

Captain Hardik Pandya brought Arjun into the attack during the second over in the first innings. He began well and also managed to get Marcus Stoinis out LBW on the third ball. However, Tendulkar's happiness was shortlived as a successful DRS review from the batter helped in overturning the on-field umpire's decision.

Arjun Tendulkar let his frustration out after the final delivery of the over. He had an aggressive shy at stumps after picking up the ball while staring into the eyes of Marcus Stoinis.

Arjun Tendulkar only bowled 2.2 overs before walking off the field in the first innings of MI vs LSG IPL 2024 match

MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. The Super Giants got off to a poor start as opener Devdutt Padikkal got out for a golden duck. KL Rahul (55), Marcus Stoinis (28), and Deepak Hooda (11) steadied things till the 10th over, before the arrival of Nicholas Pooran (75).

The West Indies batter injected momentum into the innings with a blistering half-century in the second half. Arjun Tendulkar gave only 10 runs from his two overs in the powerplay. However, he was at the receiving end of Pooran's fury in his third over. After being hit for two sixes on the first two balls in the 15th over, Arjun Tendulkar walked to the pavilion to get some treatment done by the physio.

Ayush Badoni (22*) and Krunal Pandya (12*) then played blazing cameos in the end to lift LSG's total to 214.
