[Watch] “No-ball hai, Lala” - Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi involved in a funny banter over a possible no-ball in WCL
Pakistani players Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi recently engaged in a hilarious banter regarding a potential no-ball during the second match of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) against Australia Champions.
The incident occurred on the penultimate ball of the 19th over. Nathan Coulter-Nile bowled a high full-toss, which Misbah-ul-Haq struck towards deep mid-wicket. As the umpires checked for a potential no-ball, Misbah said to Afridi that it was above waist height, but the all-rounder disagreed, insisting it was not.
The right-handed batter reiterated that it was a no-ball while Afridi maintained his stance that it wasn’t. Eventually, Shahid Afridi was proven right; the delivery was deemed a legal delivery.
Here’s the video of the moment:
Earlier in the game, the Australia Champions put up a total of 196 on the board, courtesy of a brilliant innings of 68 runs by Aaron Finch. In response, Younis Khan (63), captain of the Pakistan Champions, led from the front.
Meanwhile, Misbah-ul-Haq (46) and Shahid Afridi (11) remained unbeaten as they took the Pakistan Champions over the line in their opening match of the WCL.
