[WATCH] Mitchell Starc bowls a peach to trap Harry Brook LBW in ENG vs AUS 2nd ODI
Australian pacer Mitchell Starc unleashed his absolute best to dismiss England skipper Harry Brook in the second fixture of their three-match ODI series. Headingley is serving as the host to this exciting encounter on Saturday (September 21).
After the home side invited the Australian team to bat first, Travis Head (29) and Matthew Short (29) were decent with their starts. Captain Mitchell Marsh (60) was impressive to continue the team's momentum, despite the failures of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne.
Alex Carey slammed 74 off 67 to boost the visitors' total to 270. Brydon Carse was the pick of the bowlers with three scalps.
Thereafter, Josh Hazlewood got rid of Phil Salt (12) in the fifth over to prevent a good start for England. In the following over, Starc sent Will Jacks back for a golden duck. The left-arm pacer's next over witnessed him bowling a perfect in-swinging yorker, which caught Brook unaware, and he was pinned in front, resulting in a LBW dismissal.
Although Brook took a review, the ball crashed into the leg-stump and the third umpire retained the on-field umpire's decision. The England skipper's wicket put the team in trouble at 46/3.
