[Watch] Mohammed Siraj ends Adelaide boos with peach to take Australia's last wicket in 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

Mohammed Siraj put an end to Australia's heavy onslaught and the Adelaide Oval crowd's boos against him by knocking over Scott Boland, the final wicket of the hosts' first innings. Australia ended their first innings at 337 with a hefty 157-run lead.

It was the third ball of the 88th over. Siraj bowled a peachy wobbled seam delivery that was angled in. Boland tried to protect his off-stump but it pitched and just straightened away from his outside edge to castle the top of the poles.

Watch the wicket here:

This was Siraj's fourth wicket of the innings and his third in four overs. The first came against Head, who, after hitting a six on the previous ball, couldn't get under a booming in-swinging yorker and was bowled through the gate.

Siraj gave an aggressive send-off to Head and the Aussie replied with some expletives of his own, too. That woke up the Adelaide crowd who booed the Indian pacer during the rest of the over and even when he went out to the field. Mitchell Starc's every boundary or good shots were hailed with big cheers as well.

Those boos continued after the session break but Siraj overcame them by getting Starc on the first ball and then Boland soon after. He ended the spell at 4/98.

India lose KL Rahul early in the second innings

The third innings started decently for India, with both openers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, getting boundaries away.

However, just then, Aussie captain Pat Cummins set up Rahul brilliantly, pushing a yorker in followed by a rising bouncer -- Rahul tried to pull it but ended up gloving it down the leg-side to the wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

Shubman Gill joined Jaiswal, with India hoping the team could go through the twilight phase without losing any more wickets. Catch all the action here.
