Mohammed Siraj took a screamer to dismiss Shakib Al Hasan in the second India-Bangladesh Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Day 4 (Monday, September 30). The speedster showed brilliant reflexes, keeping his eyes on the ball while backpedaling before diving backward to complete a stunning one-handed catch at mid-off.
The dismissal came in the 56th over of Bangladesh’s first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a tossed-up delivery and Shakib stepped out but was beaten in flight. His bottom hand came off as he went for a lofted shot, only to miscue it in the air. He departed for just 9 off 17 balls with the help of two boundaries.
