Team India bowler Mohammed Siraj was at his athletic best as he clutched onto an excellent catch to seal Nitish Kumar's departure in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup clash against the United States of America (USA). The match is underway at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
The USA were going through a positive phase in the game after being reduced to 56/4 in the 12th over. Kumar took the initiative against the potent Indian bowling attack. He dispatched Hardik Pandya for a couple of boundaries while Corey Anderson hit a six off Axar Patel to shift the momentum just a bit.
Nitish Kumar went for a big pull shot off Arshdeep Singh's short delivery in the 15th over, but could only get height instead of distance. Siraj, standing a few meters inside the boundary line, had his work cut out. The pacer got into position in time, leaped full length, and completed the catch in one motion.
