[Watch] Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head seen "clarifying things" after sledging controversy in 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head were seen clarifying things a day after the sledging controversy on Day 3 of the second Test between India and Australia in Adelaide on Sunday, December 8. The incident came when Siraj was on the strike while Head was fielding at silly mid-on.

Watch the clip below:

The two players had exchanged words after Siraj dismissed Head clean bowled following a six on Day 2. The speedster gave him a sendoff. The duo hurled a few words at each other with Head apparently telling the Indian pacer to “f*** off.”

The spectators were irked and booed Siraj for his gesture towards Head, who was playing at his home ground.

The exchange didn’t go well with on-air commentators as well. Sunil Gavaskar and Matthew Hayden asked Siraj to stay humble, considering Head scored 140 and not a low score.

Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj’s contrasting statements on sledging incident

Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj came up with contrasting statements on the sledging incident.

Head told Fox Sports:

“I said, ‘Well bowled,’ but he thought otherwise when he pointed me towards the sheds. He got a little bite back from me."
“Slightly disappointed with the way that transpired. It is what it is. If they want to react like that, and if that’s how they want to represent themselves, then so be it," Head added.

Meanwhile, Siraj told Star Sports:

"I was enjoying bowling to him. t was a good battle because he was batting really well. When batter hits you for a six on a good ball, it feels bad. That gave me an energy. After bowling him out, I celebrated. Then he abused me. You can see on TV as well. In the start, it was my celebration, I didn't say anything to him. In the press conference, he said wrong thing. He lied. No-way he said well-bowled."
"We respect everyone. I always respect everyone because cricket is a gentleman's game. Travis Head's actions were wrong. I did not feel good," Siraj added.

Chasing 19, Australia won the match by 10 wickets to level the five-game series 1-1. They also kept their 100 percent win record intact with their eighth consecutive victory in pink-ball Tests. India won the series opener by 295 runs.

The two teams will next lock horns in Brisbane, starting December 14.
