[Watch] MS Dhoni cheerfully interacts with co-passengers after boarding a flight
Former India captain MS Dhoni is seen greeting co-passengers and interacting with them in a cheerful manner after boarding a flight. The endearing clip, which also features his daughter Ziva and wife Sakshi, has gone viral on social media.
Dhoni (43) remains one of the most popular cricketers in India despite retiring from international cricket in 2020. One of the main reasons behind his popularity is his humble nature, staying rooted despite all the fame that has come his way.
In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, the former India stumper can be seen entering a plane with his family members and warmly interacting with co-passengers after boarding the flight.

Fans hailed the cricket superstar for his humble gesture of interacting with common people on the flight. 'Lucky passengers in the flight', one user commented, while another said, 'Literally jealous'.
Dhoni is one of India's biggest cricketing heroes. He led the country to victory in two World Cups and one Champions Trophy. As Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper in the IPL, he guided the franchise to a record-equaling five titles.
Ravichandran Ashwin wants CSK to retain MS Dhoni as a capped player
The BCCI announced the IPL player regulations for 2025-2027 in which an Indian player who hasn't played international cricket for five years (and doesn't have a central contract) can be considered uncapped. Dhoni also qualifies in this category, having last played for India in 2019.
Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, however, reckons that Chennai Super Kings must retain their former captain as a capped player even though they have the option to retain him as uncapped. Speaking during a discussion on his YouTube channel a few days ago, he commented:
"I will give a fresh perspective. I will retain Rutu (Gaikwad), Jaddu (Jadeja), Dube, Pathirana and Dhoni. I will retain Dhoni as a normal capped player, not as an uncapped player.
"I’ll retain these five and will get Sameer Rizvi as my sixth retention," Ashwin went on to add.
Having led CSK to their fifth IPL title in 2023, Dhoni handed over the leadership of the franchise to Ruturaj Gaikwad for the 2024 season. Chennai Super Kings, however, failed to qualify for the playoffs, going down to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their last league game.
