[Watch] MS Dhoni comes up with a cheeky response as mediaperson reminds him of upcoming birthday at Anant Ambani's sangeet ceremony
Former India captain MS Dhoni came up with a clever response as a mediaperson reminded him of his upcoming birthday during Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's sangeet ceremony at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on Friday, July 5. Dhoni responded by asking the person to bring him a gift for the occasion.
The Indian cricket legend will celebrate his 43rd birthday on Sunday, July 7. One of the biggest names in Indian cricket, the Jharkhand-born stumper is the only captain to have won all three ICC white-ball trophies. Dhoni led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa, the 2011 ODI World Cup in India, and the 2103 Champions Trophy in England.
On Friday, he was seen attending the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai along with several other celebrities from the world of sports and glamor. As he posed for photographers at the grand event, one of them commented:
"Birthday aa raha hai sir parso [Sir, birthday is coming day after tomorrow]."
Dhoni, who was heading away after giving photos to the media, turned back after hearing the remark, smiled and replied:
"Gift leke aana [Bring a gift]."
The star keeper-batter attended the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant sangeet ceremony with his wife Sakshi. The duo were also present at the previous pre-wedding festivities of the couple.
