[Watch] MS Dhoni greets paparazzi with a namaste at airport
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni was recently spotted greeting the paparazzi at an airport. The legendary cricketer was last seen in action in May earlier during IPL 2024 in CSK's final league match against Royal Challenger's Bengaluru (RCB) at Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was a virtual knock-out match as CSK bowed out of the tournament after a narrow loss against the home team in that clash.
Dhoni has been spending quality time with his family and making a few public appearances at some events since then. He recently went on a vacation to Thailand with his family.
An Instagram page (filmygyan) recently provided a glimpse of MS Dhoni interacting with paparazzi at the airport. In the clip, Dhoni could be seen entering an airport surrounded by his security personnel before saying namaste to the photographers.

CSK retained MS Dhoni as an uncapped player ahead of IPL 2025 Mega Auction
Chennai Super Kings announced their five retentions late last month ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Surprisingly, the yellow franchise retained their former captain, MS Dhoni, for just four crores in the uncapped player category. Ruturaj Gaikwad (₹18 crore), Ravindra Jadeja (₹18 crore), Matheesha Pathirana (₹13 crore), Shivam Dube (₹12 crore) were the four other players.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan recently opened up that the doors are open for Dhoni as long as he wants to continue and expressed confidence in his judgment to do the right thing for the franchise.
During a conversation with Ambati Rayudu on Provoke TV, Viswanathan said (as quoted by Hindustan Times):
"Knowing the passion he has for CSK, and also knowing the following he has, and he also mentioned in one of the interviews that he'll play his last game in Chennai, we're hoping that he will continue as far as CSK is concerned. As long as MS wants to play, the doors are open. Knowing him, his commitment, and his dedication, I'm sure he'll always take the right decision."
Shedding light on their discussions while deciding the retentions, he added:
"Initially, we had conversations with both Ruturaj the captain and also MS along with Fleming before we decided on the retentions. And, we were very clear that the players would help the team to grow, (those) who had stabilized the team in the previous years. It was very easy to decide on the retentions."
