[Watch] "Mujhe Dhoni and Rohit bahut pasand hai" - Singham Again star Ajay Devgn picks his all-time favorite cricketers
Singham Again lead actor Ajay Devgn has picked India's current and former captains Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni as his all-time favorite cricketers. Speaking about the duo, Devgn said that he likes both of them apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kapil Dev. On the other hand, the movie's director Rohit Shetty also chose Dhoni as his favorite cricketer.
The third installment of the Singham series, Singham Again, released in theatres this Diwali. The earlier two movies in the series, Singham and Singham Returns, released in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
The actor-director duo of Devgn and Shetty recently appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's YouTube channel during which they discussed their love for cricket. Asked about his favorite cricketers, Devgn replied:
"Mujhe Dhoni and Rohit dono bahut pasand hai (I am very fond of Dhoni and Rohit). I like Surya [Suryakumar] also and Bumrah, Kapil Dev [childhood hero] and many more."
Shetty professed his admiration for Dhoni, describing him as a cricketer from whom one can learn a lot and get inspired as well. Praising the Indian cricket legend, the 50-year-old commented:
"For me, it's MS Dhoni [favorite cricketer]. As a captain, you learn from him. The attitude - till the last ball he doesn't give up. It's not just the game - how he plans things, his attitude. I think that's something you learn more than [anything]. Obviously, you are a fan of him, but more than fan, it's like you get inspired by him.
"You can understand the moves when you are watching a match or his interviews or when people talk about it. [He delivers] high-level performance [while] being calm," Shetty added.

Asked about his favorites from the younger lot, the Bollywood filmmaker named Rohit, Kohli and Suryakumar. On the other hand, when Devgn was asked about the 'Ro-Ko' duo, he replied:
"Individually, both are mind-blowing. I love both of them, but have never thought of them as a pair because both are performing so well individually."
Rohit and Kohli were recently part of the Indian team that went down 3-0 to New Zealand in a Test series at home. Both the star batters scored less than 100 runs in the series.
