Eden Carson played a prank on her New Zealand Women teammate Jess Kerr by placing a moth on her during the second T20I against Australia Women at Great Barrier Reef Arena in McKay on Sunday, September 22. The funny incident took place after the 12th over of New Zealand’s run-chase when Carson picked a moth from the ground and placed it on Jess’ shoulder.
Jess Kerr looked extremely frightened by the incident as several teammates, including skipper Sophie Devine, laughed in the White Ferns’ dugout.

As far as the match is concerned, Jess Kerr warmed the bench while Eden Carson took the prized wicket of Australia captain Alyssa Healy.
Ashleigh Gardner stars as Australia beat New Zealand by 29 runs, seals T20I series 2-0
A clinical bowling display from Ashleigh Gardner helped Australia beat New Zealand by 29 runs in the second T20I series. With the victory, the Aussies took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
Batting first, Australia were bundled out for 142. Alyssa Healy top scored with 38 runs off 25 balls, comprising six boundaries. Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner also chipped in with scores of 34 (33) and 18 (19), respectively. Amelia Kerr was the pick of the bowlers, returning with a four-wicket haul, while Brooke Halliday also bagged two wickets. Eden Carson, Fran Jonas and Lea Tahuhu shared one wicket each.
In response, White Ferns managed 113/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Suzie Bates top-scored with run-a-ball 34, comprising four boundaries. Maddy Green and Izzy Gaze chipped in with 21(18) and 18* (17), respectively.
The duo, however, failed to take the team past the finish line. Meanwhile, Gardner starred with the ball for Australia, returning with figures of 3/16. Darcie Brown, Georgia Wareham and Annabel Sutherland bagged one wicket apiece.
The third and final T20I between the two teams will be played at the same venue on Tuesday, September 24.
