[Watch] Pat Cummins smiles as Jasprit Bumrah pulls him for a huge six in BGT 2024-25 3rd Test

Jasprit Bumrah has been India's bright spot throughout the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series. In the ongoing third Test at The Gabba, Bumrah picked up six wickets with the ball. However, on the fourth day, the Indian pacer took charge with the bat, smashing Australian skipper Pat Cummins for a six.

The six came on the very first delivery of the 68th over when Jasprit Bumrah hit Pat Cummins for a cracking shot that sailed all the way into the stands at The Gabba. It was a back-of-a-length delivery angling down leg that Bumrah pulled over long leg for a six.

Bumrah's impressive hit not only left the Indian fans joyed but also elicited a reaction from the Australian skipper as Pat Cummins was seen smiling after being smacked for a six.

This is not the first time that Bumrah has taken on the bowlers and hit them over the fence. The pacer once again showed his skills with the bat after he was questioned about his batting abilities after the end of play on day three.

Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep lead India's fightback on Day 4 at The Gabba

It is only fair to say that Jasprit Bumrah has been India's major savior in the ongoing third BGT 2024-25 Test at The Gabba. After picking up six wickets with the ball early on, Bumrah combined with Akash Deep for the final wicket of India's batting innings on Day 4.

The duo put up a crucial unbeaten 39-run stand after the visitors were reduced to 213/9 in response to Australia's 445. India needed 246 runs to avoid the follow-on, which they managed to achieve thanks to the vital stand between Bumrah and Akash Deep as the visitors ended the day's play at 252/9.

India now trails by 193 runs heading into the final day with Bumrah (10*) and Akash Deep (27*) unbeaten at the crease. Their gritty partnership has now strengthened India's chances of saving this Test with just one day remaining.
