[Watch] Prasidh Krishna gets the better of Karnataka teammate Devdutt Padikkal, dismisses him for 92 in 2024 Duleep Trophy

India A seamer Prasidh Krishna dismissed his Karnataka teammate and India D batter Devdutt Padikkal, who fell eight short of a well-deserved century on Day 2 of their 2024 Duleep Trophy match on Friday, September 13. The game is being played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.

The dismissal came on the fifth ball of the 48th over. Prasidh Krishna delivered a full ball, luring Devdutt Padikkal into a drive. The batter could only manage an outside edge, which was comfortably caught behind the stumps by keeper Kumar Kushagra.

However, the umpire did not raise his finger, but captain Mayank Agarwal quickly decided to review the decision. The review revealed a clear spike in ball-tracking, leading to the decision being reversed and Prasidh securing an important wicket.

Here’s a video of the dismissal:

Padikkal delivered a strong performance, scoring 92 off 124 balls with 15 boundaries. His dismissal left India D in a difficult position at 154/8 after 47.5 overs.
