[Watch] "Pura tere bhai ne pura Lara wala" - Noman Ali’s hilarious chat after flicking Ben Stokes in PAK vs ENG 2024 2nd Test

Pakistan spinner Noman Ali had a fun conversation with his teammate Agha Salman while batting in the second innings of the Multan Test against England on Thursday (October 17). It happened on Day 3 of the Test match when Noman walked out to bat in the 46th over. After playing a dot delivery on his first ball, the veteran spinner flicked the next one stylishly to pick up a single.

While getting ready to face the next delivery, Agha Salman asked Noman Ali if he himself hit the previous ball. Noman responded with a yes and compared his shot to that of legendary batter Brian Lara.

A fan shared a clip on Instagram to give others a glimpse of the funny banter between Salman and Noman.

Noman Ali takes 11 wickets to help Pakistan register a 152-run win vs England in 2nd Test 2024 in Multan

Pakistan drafted in spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan for this Test after benching superstars like Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. The move paid rich dividends as the Shan Masood-led side managed to end its winless drought in home tests after three years.

Noman Ali (11) and Sajid Khan (9) picked up all the 20 wickets between them and spun their team to a 152-run victory against England on a dry surface. The three-match series is now level at 1-1.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood reflected on the win at the post-match presentation and said:

"Really proud of the group. The guys have put in the hard work, you can never doubt the efforts. It has come after a long time, more than 2 years. really special. We kept talking about doing the good things, big first-inning score and taking 20 wickets."
"A change of strategy for us, we went for the green tops against Bangladesh. We have not played a lot of test cricket in Multan, only the one which was two years ago. Noman and Sajid coming in, never easy for them but they looked like real seasoned campaigners," he added.

The third and final Test between Pakistan and England will commence on Thursday (October 24) in Rawalpindi.
