"We have never won a series in South Africa" - Rahul Dravid reveals his lowest point as India head coach

Rahul Dravid recently revealed that India's failure to win the Test series in South Africa in 2021-22 was his lowest point during his stint as head coach. He pointed out that the visitors made a good start by winning the opening Test in Centurion but failed to script history in SA.

Dravid told Star Sports (via The Times of India):

“If you ask me what is the lowest point, I would say that the South Africa Test series early on in my career. We won the first Test match in South Africa in Centurion, and then we were playing in the second and third Test match.
"We have never won a series in South Africa, as you know. It was a really big opportunity for us to win that series. Some of our senior players were not there."

According to Cricbuzz, Rahul Dravid will now join Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He might replace Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara as Director for Cricket at the Jaipur-based franchise. Sangakkara will reportedly join England as their new white-ball coach.
