[Watch] Rashid Khan pulls off outrageous helicopter shot in 2024 Hundred clash

Afghanistan star Rashid Khan produced an incredible helicopter shot over long-off in the 2024 Hundred clash between Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire at Nottingham on August 3. With a tense run chase ongoing, Rashid started his innings slowly by moving to five from four deliveries.

However, with 31 runs needed off 17 balls, the 25-year-old used incredible wrist work against a full and outside off-stump delivery from spinner Luke Wells to send the cherry sailing over long-off for a crucial maximum.

The helicopter shot, made famous by former Indian captain MS Dhoni, has become a trademark of Rashid Khan's over the past year or two.

Here is a video of the same:

Despite the six providing Trent Rockets with renewed hope, Rashid soon departed for 13 off eight deliveries with the side still needing 18 off the final 10 balls.

The Afghanistan bowling all-rounder was run out while racing back for a second run. His dismissal proved costly as Trent Rockets went down by four runs to fall to 2-2 after four games.

Meanwhile, Rashid has been in impressive all-round form, striking at 165 with the bat and averaging 20 at an economy of eight with the ball in three outings.

Rashid Khan also produced magical wristwork against Haris Rauf

Despite his stay being only eight deliveries, Rashid Khan thrilled the fans with his sensational wristwork. While the above-mentioned six came further down the line in his innings, the Afghan skipper immidiately made his presence felt.

Rashid produced an incredible flick using his wrists for a boundary over the short fine leg region off Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf off only his second delivery. The shot had even the batter smiling as he walked towards his partner.

Yet, Rauf had the last laugh after Rashid was dismissed as he defended nine off the final over (five deliveries) in style by conceding only four runs.

The win was Welsh Fire's second win in four games, taking them to second position on the points table. They will be in action against the Southern Brave on August 5, while the Trent Rockets will play the London Spirit in their next encounter on August 7.
