Indian ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a brilliant carrom ball to dismiss Glenn Phillips on Day 2 of the ongoing third and final Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, November 2. Phillips departed after a counter-attacking knock, getting out 26 runs off 14 balls, hitting three sixes and one boundary.
The dismissal came in the 33rd over of the Kiwis’ second innings. Ashwin bowled a delivery around the leg stump and Phillips tried to work it on the on-side. The ball spun and crashed onto the stumps and the batters was all squared up. Ashwin looked thrilled to bits with the mode of dismissal.

With the wicket, the Men in Blue reduced the visitors to 131/6. Ravichandran Ashwin took his second wicket of the match, having dismissed Rachin Ravindra previously.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja help India crush New Zealand in second innings of 3rd Test
A clinical bowling display from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja helped India dismantle New Zealand in the second innings of the third Test.
At the time of writing, the Kiwis were 150/8, leading by 122 runs, with Matt Henry and Ajaz Patel at the crease. Ashwin and Jadeja have bagged three wickets apiece so far.
Batting first, New Zealand posted 235 runs in the first innings. Daryl Mitchell and Will Young chipped in with 82 and 71 runs, respectively. Jadeja bagged a fifer, while Washington Sundar scalped four wickets.
In response, Team India posted 263 in the first innings to gain a 28-run lead. Shubman Gill slammed 90, while Rishabh Pant struck 60. The duo shared a 96-run partnership for the fifth wicket to rescue the hosts from 86/4. Ajaz Patel starred with the ball for New Zealand, picking up a five-wicket haul.
Tom Latham and company have already taken a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match series. They won the opening Test by eight wickets before registering a 113-run victory in the second. India are searching for a consolation win in the Test series to keep their World Test Championship final hopes alive.
