[Watch] Ravichandran Ashwin's double strike in the final hour puts India on top in IND vs BAN 2024 2nd Test
Ravichandran Ashwin's twin strike in the final few minutes of Day 4 in the second Test ensured India have an upper hand heading into the last day against Bangladesh at Green Park. Ashwin first dismissed opener Zakir Hasan LBW and then rattled night watchman Hasan Mahmud's stumps to leave Bangladesh at 26/2 at stumps.
Bangladesh still trail by 26 runs in the second innings and they have eight wickets in hand.
Talking about Ravichandran Ashwin's two wickets, he bowled a tossed-up delivery to Zakir Hasan from around the wicket. The ball pitched around leg and spun away from the left-hander, beating the outside edge of his bat to hit the pads.
The on-field umpire adjudged Hasan out, and the decision stayed the same even after the Bangladeshi batter took a DRS.

In his next over, Ashwin bowled another tossed-up delivery to right-handed Hasan Mahmud. The night watchman could not resist and tried for a big shot, only to connect with air and lose his stumps.

None of the other Indian bowlers could take any wickets in the second innings today. Bangladesh are at 26/2, with Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque in the middle.
Can Ravichandran Ashwin and Co. help India win the Kanpur Test match?
After the second and third days of the Kanpur Test match got abandoned due to rain, it seemed like this Test between India and Bangladesh would end in a draw. However, India's aggressive approach with the bat has brought life back into the game.
With 98 overs of play left tomorrow, India will hope that rain stays away and they can dismiss the remaining eight Bangladeshi batters cheaply. Even if Bangladesh takes a lead of around 100 runs, India should be able to chase down the target and complete a miraculous win at Green Park.
