[Watch] Ravichandran Ashwin smashes a huge six in TNPL 2024 Eliminator

Ravichandran Ashwin smashed a huge six whilst batting in the Eliminator of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) at the NPR College Ground, Dindigul. The all-rounder has been promoting himself up the order when playing for the Dindigul Dragons.

Ashwin walked out to bat after the fall of the first wicket and stitched a valued partnership of 112 runs with opener Shivam Singh. He displayed his huge range of shots, playing some eye-catching strokes scoring 57 runs off 35 balls, including 4 boundaries and 4 maximums.

The 37-year-old has often been used as a floater in recent years by the Rajasthan Royals. He has often been sent up the order at numbers 4 and 5 and has had decent outings whenever given a chance. Batting at number 3, Ashwin scored his maiden and only IPL half-century off 38 deliveries back in 2022, which has often prompted the Jaipur-based franchise to give him a promotion in the batting order whenever an impetus is needed.

In the TNPL Eliminator, Ashwin walked out to bat in the second over. He took a couple of deliveries and then took the attack to Rahil Shah, smashing him for a six over long-on. You can watch the shot below:
