Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bagged his second wicket of the innings by cleaning up Glenn Phillips on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test against New Zealand on Friday, October 18. The match is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The dismissal happened on the third ball of the 63rd over. Jadeja bowled a length delivery aimed at the middle, which skidded slightly as Phillips attempted to defend. The ball passed his inside edge, struck his back pad, and then went on to hit the stumps.

The right-handed batter scored 14 runs off 18 balls, including one boundary and one six. Phillips' dismissal left the visitors at 223 for six after 62.3 overs.
India fights back early on Day 3 in the first Test against New Zealand
New Zealand ended Day 2 at 180 for three after 50 overs, with Rachin Ravindra (22) and Daryl Mitchell (14) at the crease. Devon Conway excelled for the visitors, scoring 91 off 105 balls with the aid of 11 fours and three sixes.
Rohit Sharma's team made an early comeback on Day 3 as Mohammed Siraj dismissed overnight batter Mitchell for 18. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah then claimed his first wicket of the match by removing wicketkeeper Tom Blundell for 5.
Ravindra Jadeja intensified the pressure on the Black Caps, taking two quick wickets by dismissing Glenn Phillips (14) and Matt Henry (8). At the time of writing, the Kiwis were at 237 for seven after 67 overs, leading by 191 runs, with Ravindra (44) and Tim Southee (2) at the crease.
Earlier in the match, India had a disappointing outing with the bat, being bowled out for just 46, their third-lowest score in Test history. Rishabh Pant was the top scorer for the hosts with 20, while Matt Henry took five wickets for New Zealand.
