[Watch] Renuka Singh takes revenge after being slammed for 6 by Dilara Akter in IND vs BAN Women’s Asia Cup semifinal
India's Renuka Singh took her revenge against Bangladesh's Dilara Akter, dismissing the opening batter right after conceding a six on Friday, July 26. The Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium is hosting the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 semifinal between India and Bangladesh.
The dismissal came in the opening over of Bangladesh’s innings. Akter smashed a six off Renuka's third delivery towards deep backward square leg. The right-hander tried to repeat the shot off the next delivery but ended up playing it straighter and Uma Chetry took an easy catch at deep mid-wicket.
Notably, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur made the fielding change after that six. She moved Uma from deep backward square leg to deep mid-wicket.
