Indian wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh demonstrated her impressive reflexes by taking a stunning catch to dismiss Pakistan's captain Fatima Sana during their 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup match on Sunday, October 6. The game is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE.
The dismissal occurred on the last ball of the 14th over. Asha Sobhana bowled a flighted delivery outside off, which gripped and turned away as Fatima attempted a slog sweep for her third consecutive boundary. However, she only managed to edge it, and Richa stretched out her right hand to pull off an incredible one-handed catch.

The Pakistani captain scored 13 runs off eight balls, including two boundaries. Fatima's dismissal left Pakistan in a difficult position at 70 for 6 after 14 overs.
A brilliant bowling effort helps India restrict Pakistan to a low total
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Renuka Singh gave India an early breakthrough by dismissing Gull Feroza for a four-ball duck in the opening over. Shortly after, Deepti Sharma removed Sidra Amin for eight runs off 11 balls.
Omaima Sohail had a disappointing outing, scoring just three runs off six balls. Keeper-batter Muneeba Ali managed 17 runs off 26 balls, including two boundaries. Aliya Riaz added four runs off nine balls before being dismissed by Arundhati Reddy, leaving the Women in Green struggling at 52 for the loss of half their wickets.
Captain Fatima Sana tried to accelerate the innings but was dismissed for 13 runs off eight balls, following a spectacular catch by Richa Ghosh. Nida Dar and Syeda Aroob Shah put together 28 runs off 29 balls for the eighth wicket.
Dar made 28 runs off 34 balls, hitting one boundary while Syeda remained unbeaten with 14 runs off 17 balls. Pakistan concluded their innings at 105 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Arundhati was the standout bowler for India, claiming three wickets.
