[Watch] Rinku Singh crowned fielder of the series yet again for his stellar show in Sri Lanka T20Is
Team India's Rinku Singh was adjudged fielder of the series for the second time in a row after his dominating display in the three-match T20I affair against Sri Lanka. The left-handed batter was also awarded the medal for his displays in the preceding five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
Rinku played a huge hand in Team India's comeback Super Over victory in the third T20I to wrap up the series 3-0. Although he only scored one run off two deliveries after being promoted up to No. 4, he took two crucial catches and bowled the penultimate over. He conceded only three runs and took two wickets to bring India back into the contest.
Rinku Singh's dynamite fielding has been evident since his early days with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He has translated the same into Indian colors now.
He ended the Sri Lanka series with the most catches (four), and several other brilliant moments of brilliance. Rinku's ability to bounce back was brought up by the fielding coach T Dilip during the medal presentation ceremony.
Rinku had dropped a catch during the second T20I after slipping on the wet outfield but showed resilience to grab the next opportunity and make an impact while fielding in the hot spots.
He was awarded the fielding medal by newly-appointed assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate. The former Dutch all-rounder has worked closely with Rinku Singh during his time as Kolkata Knight Riders' fielding coach.
Much like the last time, Rinku stated 'God's Plan, Baby' before receiving the medal. However, he was not coerced into making a speech this time around and was instead congratulated by the coaching staff amid loud cheers from the rest of the squad.

Rinku Singh could not make an impact with the bat in the series, scoring only two runs in two innings while not availing a chance in the rain-curtailed second T20I.
Rinku Singh's unprecedented penultimate over turned the game around for India
The Men in Blue were in the backseat for most of the game. Firstly, they were reduced to 30-4 inside the powerplay. Even in the second innings, despite keeping the run rate under check, Sri Lanka were massive favorites because of the wickets they had in their hand.
After enduring yet another collapse, the hosts required 21 runs off the last three overs. They found themselves in the driver's seat yet again after scoring 12 runs off Khaleel Ahmed's over.
Rinku Singh, bowling his part-time off-spin, dismissed the set-batter Kusal Perera and Ramesh Mendis to set the game up for the final over.
