[Watch] Rinku Singh hits a monstrous 104-meter six in IND vs ZIM 2nd T20I

Rinku Singh provided a perfect finish for India against Zimbabwe in the second T20I at Harare Sports Club on Sunday, July 7. The left-hander scored an unbeaten 48 runs off 22 balls at a stunning strike rate of 218.18, comprising five sixes and two boundaries. The main highlight of his innings was a monstrous 104-meter six off Blessing Muzarabani.

The shot came in the penultimate over of India’s innings. Muzarabani bowled a length ball and Rinku launched it over long-off for a massive six that cleared the ground.

Sharing the video on X, official broadcaster Sony Liv wrote:

"Has anyone from space said 6? Rinku has deposited one into the orbit."

Rinku Singh had departed for a duck in the series opener against Zimbabwe. The southpaw, however, has a brilliant track record in T20Is, scoring 408 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 178.76 with the help of two half-centuries.


Rinku Singh finishes off in style after Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s heroics

Rinku Singh provided a great finish for India after Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad delivered with the bat.

Abhishek scored his maiden T20I ton, scoring 100 off 47 deliveries, including eight sixes and seven boundaries. Gaikwad too scored an unbeaten 77 off 47 with the help of one six and 11 boundaries. The duo put on a 137-run partnership for the second wicket. The Men in Blue eventually finished with 234/2 after 20 overs.

In response, Zimbabwe looked clueless in the run-chase. At the time of writing, the hosts were 98-7 after 14.2 overs.

Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe won the series opener by 13 runs by defending 115 runs. Shubman Gill and Co. are looking well set to make it 1-1 ahead of the third T20I, which will be held at the same venue on July 10. Notably, 2024 T20 World Cup champions Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will join the squad for the last three T20Is.
