[Watch] Rishabh Pant hits no-look six off Pat Cummins in 1st IND vs AUS BGT 2024-25 Test
India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant hit a no-look six off Australian captain Pat Cummins on Day 1 of the first Test in Perth on Friday, November 22. Pant made the most of the half volley to hit his first six of the game.
The jaw-dropping shot came in the 42nd over of India’s first innings. Cummins bowled a fuller length ball and Pant moved outside off and scooped it over deep backward square before falling to the ground. The shot left the commentators in awe. Notably, Pant can switch on his aggressive game at any point of his innings in Test cricket.

Notably, Rishabh Pant scored 274 runs, including a 97 and an unbeaten 89 during the 2020/21 series when India won by a 2-1 margin Down Under.
Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Nitish Reddy impress but others fail to deliver on Day 1 of 1st Test in Australia
Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and debutant Nitish Reddy were the three positives as the rest failed to deliver in the first innings of the opening Test against Australia on Day 1. Rahul looked good for 26 off 74 deliveries before being dismissed controversially. Reddy top scored with 41 off 59, comprising one maximum and six boundaries.
The top order failed miserably as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal departed for ducks. Virat Kohli, Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar departed for scores of five, 11, and four, respectively.
At the time of writing, the tourists were bundled out for 150 in 49.4 overs. Josh Hazlewood was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking four wickets. Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh scalped two wickets each.
