[Watch] Rishabh Pant hits a six and four off consecutive balls in Delhi Premier League 2024
Team India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant was seen in action for the Purani Dilli-6 against South Delhi Superstarz in the opening match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024 at Arun Jaitley International Stadium on Saturday. The highlight of his 32-ball 35 was a six and four off consecutive deliveries.
The Delhi Capitals captain walked in at No. 3 after the wicket of opener Manjeet. Initially, Pant looked a bit scratchy and failed to read the pace of the surface. He struggled to time the ball and, at one point, found himself on 24 runs off 27 balls.
But it didn't take the southpaw much time to get back to his attacking best as he switched gears and launched an attack in the 13th over. Facing Shubham Dubey, Pant managed to score 10 runs off consecutive deliveries. Down on one knee, he first hit a six on the legside before lacing one through covers. Pant was dismissed by Kunwar Bidhuri in the next over, holing out to the fielder at third man.
