[Watch] Riyan Parag takes a sharp catch at slips to dismiss Ricky Bhui in IND A vs IND D 2024 Duleep Trophy match

India A and Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag took an excellent low catch to dismiss Ricky Bhui of India D on Day 4 (Sunday, September 15) of their Duleep Trophy contest. The match is being played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur.

The dismissal occurred on the fifth ball of the 72nd over. Bhui prodded onto his front foot off Tanush Kotian's bowling and got an outside edge. The ball kept low and went to Parag at slips, who got low and took a good catch. The umpires went upstairs and confirmed that it was a fair catch.

This marks the end of a top-notch innings from Ricky Bhui. He departed for a well-made 113 off 195 balls, which included 13 fours and three huge sixes.


India A inch closer to victory against India D in Match 3 of the 2024 Duleep Trophy

Winning the toss and bowling first would have proven to be a great decision for India D, who had India A in trouble early on after reducing them to 93/5. Shams Mulani (89 off 187) and Tanush Kotian (53 off 80) ensured that the runs with the bat kept flowing and they managed to rescue India A, scoring 290 in their first essay with the bat in hand.

India A repaid the favor, having India D on 96/5. Devdutt Padikkal (92 off 124) added the runs on the board and Harshit Rana (31 off 29) managed to make a contribution with the bat down the order as India D folded up for 183, trailing by 107.

India A batted again and made good use of the conditions on offer as Pratham Singh (122 off 189) and Tilak Varma (111 off 193) starred with stellar hundreds while Mayank Agarwal (56 off 87) and Shashwat Rawat (64 off 88) scored half-centuries as they declared on 380/3 and set India D a target of 488 to chase.

At the time of writing, India D are on 276/7 after 76 overs, with Harshit Rana and Saurabh Kumar batting in the middle.
