[Watch] Rohit Sharma gets bamboozled by Adil Rashid's googly to depart for 57 in IND vs ENG 2024 T20 World Cup semisĀ
Team India skipper Rohit Sharma's entertaining fifty came to an end after Adil Rashid's googly crashed into his stumps in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup semi-final. The opening batter scored 57 runs off 39 deliveries to set up a decent platform for the Men in Blue at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27.

After a couple of tight deliveries by the leg spinner, Rohit Sharma tried to take him on with a wild slog. But, he could only connect with thin air as the googly kept low and breached the bat-pad gap before rattling the stumps. Have a look at the dismissal right here:
Team India's score read 113-3 after 13.4 overs following Rohit Sharma's dismissal. Adil Rashid also finished his spell on a high, ending with figures of 1-25 after four overs.
Team India's scoring witnesses a lull after Suryakumar Yadav follows Rohit back into the pavilion
The Men in Blue were low on momentum as they headed into the death overs after Suryakumar Yadav departed in the 16th over. The right-handed batter, put under pressure by Liam Livingstone's dot balls, tried to take on Jofra Archer. The pacer, however, outfoxed him with a back-of-the-hand delivery, resulting in an easy catch for Chris Jordan at long-on.
At the time of writing, Hardik Pandya is leading India's charge at the back end of the innings. India's score after 17.3 overs of play, reads 146-4 with Ravindra Jadeja at the other end.
