[Watch] Rohit Sharma gives pictures & autographs to fans in Adelaide ahead of BGT 2024-25 3rd Test

India's ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma took some time out to interact with fans in Adelaide on Tuesday, December 10, posing for pictures and signing autographs. The 37-year-old had missed the first Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) due to the birth of his son, Ahaan, on November 15.

Rohit returned for the second Test, batting in the middle order for the first time in six years. He did this to maintain the successful opening partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, who had set a record-breaking 201-run stand in the second innings of the first Test—the highest by an Indian opening pair in Australia.

However, Rohit's comeback didn't go as hoped, as he scored only 3 and 6, and India suffered a crushing 10-wicket defeat, allowing Australia to level the series 1-1.

Ahead of the third Test, the Mumbai batter was spotted taking time out to meet fans at the team hotel in Adelaide, where he posed for photos and signed autographs.

The third Test of the 2024-25 BGT is set to begin on Saturday, December 14, at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Rohit Sharma has struggled in Test cricket this year

Rohit Sharma has experienced a notable decline in form in 2024, scoring just 597 runs in 12 matches at a modest average of 27.13. The 37-year-old has accumulated only 142 runs in his last 12 Test innings, with just one half-century, causing his Test batting average to drop from 45.46 to 41.54.

Although his move to the middle order in the second 2024-25 BGT Test didn't yield the desired results, Rohit is expected to continue batting there. Fans will be hopeful that he finds form in the upcoming matches, especially considering his best Test average has come at No. 6, where he has scored 1,046 runs in 27 innings at an average of 49.81.
