[Watch] Rohit Sharma lands in Mumbai after the Bangladesh series; heads home in his blue Lamborghini

Indian Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma was spotted driving his blue Lamborghini home after arriving in Mumbai following the second Test against Bangladesh. Although Rohit didn't contribute much with the bat, the team rallied to secure a win despite rain washing out two days.

The visitors were all out for 233 in their first innings, with Mominul Haque finishing unbeaten on 107. The hosts were exceptional, breaking records for the fastest team scores of 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 in Test history. India declared their first innings at 285/9 after just 34.4 overs, bolstered by half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal (72) and KL Rahul (68).

Bangladesh struggled in their second innings, getting bowled out for 146 and setting a modest 95-run target. Jaiswal contributed with 51 runs as India clinched a convincing seven-wicket victory.

Rohit Sharma and his team kicked off the home season on a high note, and upon returning to Mumbai on Tuesday, October 1, the Indian Test captain was seen driving his blue Lamborghini as he headed home.

“We were ready to give ourselves a chance at a result” - Rohit Sharma reflects as India clean-sweeps Bangladesh in the two-match Test series

Rain had a major impact on the second Test between India and Bangladesh, with Day 1 abandoned after just 35 overs. Days 2 and 3 were entirely washed out due to rain and a wet outfield. However, India adopted an aggressive strategy and secured victory in the following two days.

During the post-match presentation, Rohit highlighted their willingness to take risks to seize the opportunity to win. He said:

“To be honest we had to think a lot to keep the game moving forward. When we came on day four, we wanted to get them out as early as possible and see what we can do with the bat. It was not about the runs we get but the overs we wanted to bowl at them. The pitch didn't have much for bowlers but to get a game out of that pitch was a great effort from the bowlers. The batters were willing to take the risk and we were ready to give ourselves a chance at a result.”

India and Bangladesh will next meet in a three-match T20I series, beginning on Sunday, October 6, in Gwalior.
