[Watch] Rohit Sharma participates in World Cup victory celebrations with parents and his family in Mumbai
Team India captain Rohit Sharma recently participated in the 2024 T20 World Cup victory celebrations with his parents and his family in Mumbai. The Men in Blue ended their 11-year ICC trophy drought on June 29 when they beat South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup in Barbados under the leadership of 'Hitman'. The players celebrated with thousands of fans after returning to India earlier this month.
Rohit participated in them with his teammates before taking a much-deserved break from action. He traveled abroad with his family to the UK and the USA, where he attended several events and was also spotted at a Wimbledon match.
After returning home to Mumbai, Rohit took part in the World Cup celebration again with his parents and extended family members. A cricket fan gave a glimpse of it by sharing a video on the X platform.

Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka
After more than a month away from the field, Rohit Sharma is set to make his comeback during the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The tour will commence with the three-match T20I series on July 27 in Pallekele. As Rohit retired from T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav will begin his captaincy journey with this series.
Former Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha was glad that senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were part of the team for the series, as it is the first tour for head coach Gautam Gambhir. Speaking to Sports Tak on the matter, Ojha said:
"We were hearing that perhaps Virat and Rohit will take a break from ODI. But Gautam Gambhir was starting his tenure, so he talked and gave clarity about his thoughts.
"So both the senior players honored him. So this is a good thing. This shows that there will be clarity in the team. The coach, captain, senior player, the core team, when they think in one direction, you get a good team. When you see the clarity in the team, you think the team can win."
The R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host the three ODI matches on August 2, 4, and 7.
