[Watch] Rohit Sharma survives lbw shout, cleaned up by Mehidy Hasan Miraz the very next ball in IND vs BAN 2024 2nd Test
Team India captain Rohit Sharma's eventful innings witnessed an anti-climatic end on Day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The right-handed batter raced off the blocks before Mehidy Hasan Miraz cleaned him up.
The dismissal occurred in the fourth over of the innings on Monday, September 30, as the veteran greeted the off-spinner with a boundary. The third ball of the over saw the umpire raise his finger as the veteran missed a ball on leg stump and it hit the pad. With the help of DRS, the 37-year-old was able to overturn the decision.

Nevertheless, Mehidy came back with a tossed-up delivery that spun sharply to beat Rohit's outside edge. The skipper was left stunned but had to walk back for 23 off 11 balls, with a boundary and three sixes.
After two days of no play, proceedings began on time on Day 4. Bangladesh started on 107/3 and were eventually bowled out for 233, a few overs after lunch. Mominul Haque starred with an unbeaten 107 while Jasprit Bumrah proved to be the pick of the bowlers for the hosts with figures of 18-7-50-3.
Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal raise the fastest team fifty in Test cricket
The destructive opening pair also raced to 50 runs in only three overs, making it the fastest team half-century in Test cricket's history. They broke the record of England as Ben Stokes and Co. had raised it in 4.2 overs against the West Indies in Nottingham this year.
Despite the captain's departure, Jaiswal kept the boundaries flowing as they blazed to 100 only in 10.1 overs, breaking their own world record in the format's history.
Team India already leads the series as they won the opening Test in Chennai by 280 runs and also occupy the top spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings.
