[Watch] Ruturaj Gaikwad takes a stunner to dismiss Riyan Parag in the IND A vs IND C Duleep Trophy 2024 match

India 'C' and Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad took an absolute stunner to see the back of Riyan Parag in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India 'A'. This happened on Day 3 of the contest at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur.

Riyan Parag was out in the middle, batting for India A. The Rajasthan Royals all-rounder scored a half-century, his first of the tournament, and was looking to go hard at the bowling. On the first ball of the 49th over, Parag looked to go over extra cover off the bowling of Gaurav Yadav and did get some high on that one. Gaikwad stretched his hand out and plucked the ball from thin air, taking an absolute stunner.

Here is a video of the catch:

Riyan Parag was dismissed for 73 runs off 101 balls and his campaign with the bat for India 'A' has now come to an end. He has scored 193 runs across six innings in his maiden appearance in the Duleep Trophy.

India 'C' won the toss and asked India 'A' to bat first in the third round of matches in the Duleep Trophy 2024. 'A' were in a spot of bother but Shashwat Rawat (124 of 250) and Avesh Khan (51 off 68) added some respectability to the score, with India 'A' posting 297 runs on board.

The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India 'C' fell short of taking a lead. They were bowled out for 217 as Abhishek Porel (82 off 113) stood tall with some support from Pulkit Narang (41 off 114).

India 'A' are batting again and have registered 219/5 after 54 overs. This contest could decide who goes on to win this year's Duleep Trophy. Elsewhere, India 'D' are playing India 'B' where India 'D' are leading by 267 runs.
