Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar tried his hand at baseball in New York during the 2024 T20 World Cup. He was seen batting with a baseball bat in the nets.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video on its social media handles on Sunday, June 9, giving fans a glimpse of Tendulkar's baseball session. Former India cricketer and coach Ravi Shastri turned pitcher for the prolific batter.
The ICC captioned the post:
"India legend @sachintendulkar channeling @mlb and @yankees vibes at the #T20WorldCup fan park in New York with another cricket icon @ravishastriofficial."
The ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies. New York is set to host the much-awaited clash between India and Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Sachin Tendulkar recently spoke about how the cricketing rivalry between India and Pakistan has intensified over the years. He spoke about how his first World Cup match against the Men in Green came in 1992, which was followed by several exciting encounters featuring the two Asian giants.
The 51-year-old wished both teams luck ahead of their upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.
"When we talk about tomorrow's match, which is going to be a big match, India vs Pakistan. It has always been a big match. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia. And from there on, the number of World Cup matches that we've played against each other, they've all been exciting, super exciting," he told ANI.
"I would like to wish both teams the very best of luck for tomorrow. I know both teams are well prepared to go out and give their best when it comes to sharing the best of luck that I have wished a little more towards India." Tendulkar added.
Sachin Tendulkar is expected to be in attendance for the India-Pakistan match at the 2024 T20 World Cup. The game kicks off at 8:00 PM (IST).
