[Watch] Sai Sudharsan hits a boundary to complete his maiden 100 in Duleep Trophy 2024
Sai Sudharsan scored a fighting century for India C against India A in the 2024 Duleep Trophy match at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur on Day 4 (Sunday, September 22). The left-handed batter scored a boundary off Tanush Kotian to get to the three-figure mark off 183 balls. This was his first-ever century in the Duleep Trophy.
The achievement came in the 72nd over of India C’s run chase. Kotian bowled a length ball and Sudharsan played a cut shot in the gap between silly mid-off and gully to bring up his century. His teammates stood to applaud his fighting knock in the second inning.
Sharing the video on X, BCCI Domestic wrote:
“A splendid century for Sai Sudharsan. What a crucial knock he's playing for his team so far. His maiden Duleep Trophy hundred.”

Sudharsan scored 111 runs off 206 balls, a knock laced with 12 boundaries. No other batters could even score a half-century in the same innings.
The 22-year-old had been below par in the Duleep Trophy, registering scores of 7, 22, 43, 11, 17 before the century on Sunday. The Tamil Nadu cricketer has represented India in three ODIs and a solitary T20I. He recently scored a century for Surrey in County Championship Division One.
Sudharsan will next be seen in action in the Ranji Trophy next month.

Sai Sudharsan's century ended in vain as Mayank Agarwal's India A beat Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India C by 132 runs in the Duleep Trophy clash.
Chasing 350, India C were bundled out for 217 in the second innings. Tanush Kotian and Prasidh Krishna emerged as the pick of the bowlers, returning with three wickets apiece. Aaqib Khan also bagged two wickets.
With the 2024 Duleep Trophy coming to an end, the senior men's players will next be seen in action in the 2024 Irani Cup from October 1 to 5.
