[Watch] Sajid Khan bags three quick wickets on Day 2 of PAK vs ENG 2024 2nd Test

Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan blasted out three key England batters in quick succession on Day 2 of the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The off-spinner castled Joe Root and Harry Brook, while Ben Duckett fell after nicking one to the first slip.

The first dismissal came after Shan Masood brought back Sajid in the 40th over of the innings. While his first over back didn't yield a wicket, he had Root dragged on to the stumps in the next. It was also the 31-year-old's second wicket of the innings as he had earlier nipped out Ollie Pope.

You can watch the dismissals below:

The finger spinner's 15th over saw him nick off Duckett for 114 as Agha Salman took a sharp catch. The final delivery of that same over witnessed Brook miss a turning ball on the back foot as it smashed onto the stumps, giving Sajid his fourth scalp of the innings.

In the meantime, left-arm spinner Noman Ali had got the better of Zak Crawley and Ben Stokes.

With figures of 19-1-86-4 so far, Sajid has spearheaded Pakistan's rally, putting them on course to take a healthy lead. England ended the day at 239/6, with Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse at the crease. However, they are still 127 runs adrift of Pakistan's total of 366.

The home side resumed Day 2 at 259/5 as Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha were at the crease. Rizwan made 41 while Salman perished for 31. However, Aamer Jamal and Agha Salman chipped in a crucial 37 and 29, respectively, to lift their side to 366 in 123.3 overs.

Masood and Co. trail the three-Test series, having lost the opening game at the same venue by an innings and 47 runs. Masood has also been winless in six Tests as captain and the veteran will be keen to break that rut.
