[Watch] Sam Konstas plays outrageous reverse ramp shot on Day 2 of the IND vs PM XI 2024 warm-up match

Australian batter Sam Konstas played a stunning reverse ramp off right-arm speedster Prasidh Krishna in the ongoing two-day pink-ball warm-up fixture between Prime Minister XI and Team India. The right-handed batter remains on track for a significant score after missing out on an opener's spot for the five-match Test series against Team India.

The incident occurred in the 20th over of the innings as Krishna came on to bowl his third. With the 28-year-old seamer sending down a full-length delivery on the off stump, the 19-year-old got himself into position quickly and lifted the ball above the wicketkeeper's head for a boundary.

It was the third boundary of the over as Jack Clayton struck two boundaries off the first couple of deliveries. Konstas had played a similar shot off Akash Deep in the 13th over of the innings.

After missing the first Test in Perth, Rohit Sharma was back as captain in the warm-up match against the Prime Minister XI. It was Rohit who won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Mohammed Siraj claimed opener Matt Renshaw's wicket, while Akash Deep dismissed Jayden Goodwin. However, Konstas put his foot down following two early successes for the visitors, playing attacking shots fairly frequently. He reached his half-century off only 49 deliveries and completed three figures off 90 balls.

However, Harshit Rana pegged the hosts back by dismissing Jack Clayton and Oliver Davies in the same over. The wicket of Clayton for 40 broke the 109-run partnership between him and Konstas. Rana unleashed the short-pitched deliveries on skipper Jack Edwards and Sam Harper to dismiss them cheaply in the same over too.

Prasidh Krishna got the better of Aidan O'Connor for his first wicket as the right-hander carted one straight to backward point.
