[Watch] Samit Dravid hits stunning six in Maharaja T20 Trophy match between Mysuru Warriors and Bengaluru Blasters
Former India skipper and head coach Rahul Dravid's son Samit Dravid is plying his trade for Mysuru Warriors in the ongoing edition of the Karnataka State Cricket Association's (KSCA) Maharaja T20 Trophy. Mysuru took on Bengaluru Blasters in Match 4 of the tournament on Friday, August 16.
The Blasters won the toss and chose to field first in the encounter. The match was reduced to 18 overs per side due to rain. The Warriors registered 182/6 in 18 overs, courtesy of half-centuries from Manoj Bhandage (58*) and Harshil Dharmani (50).
Samit walked out to bat at No. 4 when the Warriors were 51/2 in 4.5 overs. The right-handed batter dazzled viewers by hitting an authoritative six down the ground off pacer Gneshwar Naveen's bowling.
On the fourth ball of the seventh over, Naveen bowled a short-of-length delivery outside the off-stump. Samit picked the bones out of that one, dispatching it for a wonderful six over the long-on fence.

While Samit Dravid struck a towering six, Gneshwar Naveen had the last laugh in the battle. Samit was dismissed on the very next delivery of the over, departing after scoring seven runs off as many deliveries.
In the end, the Blasters completed a comprehensive four-wicket victory, chasing down the 183-run target in 17.1 overs. Bhuvan Raju was the top performer with the bat, scoring 51 runs.
It is worth mentioning that Samit, an 18-year-old all-rounder, was signed by the Warriors at his base price of ₹50,000 at the Maharaja T20 Trophy auction.
Samit Dravid was out for seven runs in Mysuru Warriors' opening match of the Maharaja T20 Trophy as well
Mysuru Warriors opened their Maharaja T20 Trophy campaign with a clash against Shivamogga Lions on Thursday, August 15. After being asked to bat first, the Warriors finished at 159/8 in 20 overs.
Samit Dravid failed to make a significant impact with the bat, scoring just seven runs from nine deliveries. Manoj Bhandage's unbeaten 42* helped the side post a decent total.
The Warriors completed a seven-run victory, successfully defending the revised 88-run target (9 overs). The side are currently placed third in the points table. They will now take on Gulbarga Mystics on Sunday, August 18.
