[Watch] Sanju Samson hits Taskin Ahmed for 4 boundaries in a row in 2024 IND vs BAN 3rd T20I 

Sanju Samson starred with the bat for India against Bangladesh in the third and final T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12. The right-hander amassed 16 runs off the second over for the Men in Blue bowled by Taskin.

The flurry of boundaries came as Samson went all guns blazing against Taskin after back-to-back dots off Taskin. The wicketkeeper-batter guided two balls in the covers for boundaries before playing a couple of flicks towards mid-wicket and square leg.

Sanju Samson has scored his fifty in the match and would be keen to convert it into a century. The 29-year-old Kerala-born batter previously scored 29 and 10 in his two outings against Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series.


Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav's onslaught help India complete 100 in 8th over vs Bangladesh in 3rd T20I

Clinical batting performances from Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav helped the hosts reach the team's hundred in just the eighth over (7.1 covers ) against Bangladesh in the third T20I.

At the time of writing, the Men in Blue were 1014/1 after 7.3 overs, with Suryakumar (41 off 17) and Samson (53 off 24) at the crease. Abhishek Sharma departed for run-a-ball 4 as Tanzim Hasan Shakib provided the first breakthrough for the visitors.

Team India have already taken a 2-0 unassailable lead in the T20I series. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side won the opening game by seven wickets before thumping the visitors by 86 runs in the second fixture. With the win, the Men in Blue registered back-to-back series wins over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh under new skipper Yadav.

On the other hand, Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh would be hopeful of a consolation win against India after losing both Test and T20I series.

India will play their next T20I series (away) against South Africa, which starts on November 8.
