[Watch] Sanju Samson's six hurts a spectator in the crowd in SA vs IND 2024 4th T20I

Team India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson hit a maximum that hurt one of the spectators sitting in the stands during the fourth T20I of the SA vs IND 2024 series between South Africa and India. The game is being played at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, on Friday (November 15).

Team India won the toss and elected to bat first in the final T20I of the series. Samson walked out to bat alongside Abhishek Sharma. Together the duo posted 73 runs on board in the powerplay, with Sharma being dismissed on the penultimate delivery of the sixth over for 36 runs off 18 balls.

The Rajasthan Royals skipper carried on and scored scintillating boundaries and towering maximums, eventually reaching his third T20I half century with a six off the first ball bowled by Tristan Stubbs in the 10th over. On the very next delivery, Samson hit another maximum over deep midwicket, which hit a spectator in the crowd.

Team India won the toss in the SA vs IND 2024 series finale and elected to bat first. Abhishek Sharma (36 off 18) and Sanju Samson opened the innings. Together, the pair posted 73 for the first wicket before Sharma was caught behind off the bowling of Lutho Sipamla.

Post that, South Africa struggled to pick up a wicket as Sanju Samson (109 off 56) and Tilak Varma (120 off 47) scored centuries. Tilak became the second Indian batter after Samson to score consecutive tons while the Rajasthan Royals skipper became the first batter this year to score three tons in the format.

Team India scored 283/1 after 20 overs, with Lutho Sipamla being the only wicket-taker for the hosts. India have won the four-match SA vs IND 2024 T20I series 3-1.
