London Spirit Women bowler Sarah Glenn took a brilliant catch on her own bowling to dismiss Manchester Originals Women batter Evelyn Jones. The incident took place in the 23rd match of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2024 on Friday, August 9 at Lord’s, London.
The dismissal came on the 32nd ball of the Manchester Originals' innings. Sarah Glenn bowled a floated delivery just outside off. Evelyn Jones didn’t get to the pitch of the ball and played it in the air back towards the bowler. Sarah did a brilliant job getting low to her right and took a stunning catch to get rid of the left-hander.

Evelyn Jones couldn’t create much impact on the game as she only scored one run off three balls. Evelyn’s dismissal left her side at 32/3 after 32 balls.
London Spirit bowlers did a brilliant job to restrict Manchester Originals to a low total
London Spirit won the toss and chose to bowl first. Off-spinner Charlotte Dean provided a great start for London as she dismissed dangerous Laura Wolvaardt for five on the 15th ball.
Beth Mooney played some good shots before her innings was cut short by Charlotte Dean, who took her second wicket of the game. Mooney scored 20 off 17 balls. Sarah Glenn struck on her second delivery to put Manchester Originals in a spot of bother as they found themselves 32/3.
Kathryn Bryce played a decent hand 32 off 27 balls, hitting two boundaries and one maximum. The right-handed batter became the second wicket of Sarah Glenn. Towards the end, Fritha Morris scored 17 off 13 balls as Manchester Originals finished at 112/7 in 100 balls. Charlotte Dean was the pick of the bowlers for London Spirit, taking three wickets.
The London Spirit are fourth on the points table, having won two and lost two matches in five games. Meanwhile, one game ended in a no-result. On the other hand, the Manchester Originals are sixth, having won two of their five games.
