[Watch] Sarfaraz Khan defends against Rishabh Pant's spin bowling during a net session

Indian Wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant turned his arm around and bowled to Sarfaraz Khan during a recent net session. The duo played together for India B in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy match against India A at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Both couldn't do much with the bat in the first innings of the match as they fell for single-digit scores. However, Sarfaraz (46) and Pant (61) put on a counter-attacking 72-run stand in the second innings and helped their side set a decent target of 275. It proved adequate as India A got bundled out for 198 and lost the match by 76 runs.

An Instagram user gave a glimpse of Rishabh Pant's bowling in the nets to his Duleep Trophy teammate by sharing a video on the social media platform. In it, Sarfaraz Khan faced a leg-spinner from Pant and defended the ball.

"It is important for you to forget these things"- Rishabh Pant on importance of moving on from 2024 T20 World Cup victory

During a recent conversation in a video on Tanmay Bhat's YouTube channel, Rishabh Pant spoke about India's 2024 T20 World Cup victory. He opened up about the importance of putting the win in the rearview mirror and moving forward. He revealed that it was an unbelievable feeling to win the cup but felt that the moment had passed and intended to focus on the future.

Pant said:

"As a cricketer, you dream of winning the World Cup. During the injury, I was thinking that I wanted to win the World Cup. To come back into the side and directly win the World Cup was an unbelievable feeling. I am not thinking much about it now because I feel in India, people forget after 10-15 days what you have done."

He continued:

"So, it is important for you to forget these things as well. That moment will always be there with me, but now we have to move on and focus on what's next."

Rishabh Pant batted at No. 3 position in the 2024 World Cup and scored 171 runs across eight games.
