India's stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana blasted her third consecutive fifty, including seven back-to-back boundaries, during the third and final T20I against the West Indies. The match is taking place at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, December 19.
The left-hander took charge in the third over, smashing three consecutive fours off the final three balls of Chinelle Henry's over. Mandhana faced the second ball of the fourth over and picked up another boundary. She then hit a six on the following delivery, before adding two more fours, completing a remarkable run of seven boundaries in a row.

The 28-year-old brought up her fifty in just 27 balls, marking her third consecutive half-century of the series and her 30th in T20I cricket. Mandhana finished with an impressive 77 runs off 47 balls, in a knock that included 13 boundaries and a six.

West Indies won the toss and opted to bowl first. Chinelle Henry struck early for the visitors, dismissing Uma Chetry for a duck in the first over. However, captain Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues took charge, forming a brilliant 98-run partnership off 55 balls for the second wicket. Rodrigues scored 39 off 28 balls, including four boundaries.
Mandhana continued her superb form, notching up her third consecutive fifty of the series, finishing with 77 off 47 balls. Following that, Raghvi Bist and Richa Ghosh went on a rampage, adding 70 runs off just 32 balls for the fourth wicket.
Richa matched the records of Sophie Devine and Phoebe Litchfield by scoring the fastest fifty off just 18 balls. She finished with an explosive 54 off 21 balls, hitting three boundaries and five sixes.
Bist remained unbeaten on 31 off 22, as India finished their innings at 217/4 in 20 overs, setting their highest total in T20Is.
