Shaheen Afridi executed a helicopter shot off Aaron Hardie in the third and final T20I between Australia and Pakistan on Monday, November 18. The left-handed batter executed the shot in the 17th over.
Hardie bowled a fuller length ball around off and Afridi whipped it through mid-wicket. The left-hander pierced deep mid-wicket and long-on for a boundary. With the shot, the Men in Green brought up the 100.

Notably, helicopter shot first came to light around 2010 as former India captain MS Dhoni's signature shot. Several players, including star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Afghanistan T20I captain Rashid Khan, have emulated the shot over the years.
It's worth mentioning that Afridi scored 16 runs off 12 balls, comprising two fours and a six. He emerged as the third-highest run-scorer for Pakistan, who suffered another collapse in the three-match series. They were reduced to 64/9 and bowled out for 134 in the previous two games as well.
Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi help Pakistan reach 117 vs Australia in 3rd T20I
Babar Azam top scored with 41 runs off 28 balls, comprising four boundaries, as Pakistan reached 117 before getting bundled out in the third T20I against Australia. Meanwhile, Haseebullah Khan chipped in with 24 off 19 deliveries, hitting three boundaries. Shaheen Afridi and Irfan Khan were other two batters to reach double digits.
Aaron Hardie starred with the ball, returning with figures of 3/21, while Spencer Johnson and Adam Zampa bagged two wickets apiece. Xavier Bartlett and Spencer Johnson scalped one wicket each.
Australia are leading the three-match series 2-0. The hosts won the opening game by 29 runs before registering a 13-run win in the second. This was the second consecutive series win for Australia against Pakistan, excluding one-off game. They will now look to register a whitewash and avenge their 1-2 ODI series loss to the Men in Green in style.
On the other hand, Pakistan are eyeing a consolation win in the series.
