Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan got extremely pumped after taking wickets in the County Championship Division One on Thursday, September 12. The incident happened on Day 3 of the ongoing game between Surrey and Somerset in Taunton. Shakib was seen getting aggressive but turned out at the last minute after taking wickets against Somerset in the second innings.
One such incident happened against skipper Lewis Gregory in the 32nd over of Somerset’s innings. Sharing the video on X, Surrey’s official handle wrote:
“Top stuff from Shakib Al Hasan!! He has 8 wickets in the match!!”

Notably, Shakib has bagged four-wicket hauls in both innings of the Test match. He has an opportunity to complete a fifer on the fourth and final day of the ongoing first-class fixture.

At the time of writing, Somerset were 194/9 at stumps on Day 3, with Craig Overton (40 off 57) and Tom Banton (28 off as 28) in the second innings. They have stretched their second innings lead to 190. Shakib has been the pick of the bowlers, picking up four wickets so far.
Surrey will now look to wrap the team under 200 and then chase down the target to win the game.
Batting first, Somerset put up 317 in their first innings. Tom Banton starred with the bat, scoring 132 off 172 balls, comprising one six and 16 boundaries. Shakib bagged four wickets, while Daniel Worrall scalped three.
In response, Surrey were bundled out for 321 in their first innings. Tom Curran, Ryan Patel, and Ben Geddes chipped in with scores of 86 (75), 70 (192), and 50 (94), respectively. Archie Vaughan was the pick of Somerset bowlers, returning with figures of 6/102, while Jack Leach bagged four wickets.
