[Watch] Shivam Dube smashes hat-trick of sixes against Yash Thakur in CSK vs LSG match of IPL 2024
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shivam Dube wowed viewers with his big hitting in the team's IPL 2024 clash against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.
Lucknow won the toss and elected to field first. The platform was set for Dube as he walked out to bat when Chennai were at 101/3 in 11.5 overs. The southpaw wasted no time, smashing a six off his fourth ball, which was also the first maximum of the match.
Dube was at his explosive best, and LSG pacer Yash Thakur had to bear the brunt of it. Thakur was brought into the attack to bowl the 16th over. The seamer had done a tidy job ahead of his third over, giving away just 12 runs while claiming one wicket. However, he ended up bowling his second ball to Dube on pads, and the batter dispatched it for a six over the mid-wicket fence.
Thakur dished out a slower delivery to follow it up, which also resulted in Dube picking the bones out of it as he hit yet another six over mid-wicket. The subsequent ball was on the fuller side, but it didn't change the result. Shivam Dube completed a hat-trick of sixes, clearing the long-on boundary this time.

Shivam Dube once again provided CSK with the impetus in the middle overs and towards the back end of the innings. The 30-year-old continued his impressive form with the bat, notching up his third half-century of the season.
The swashbuckling batter scored 66 off 27 balls with the help of seven sixes and three fours. His entertaining knock came to an end with a run-out in the 20th over.
Apart from Dube's blistering batting exploits, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad also stole the show with an unbeaten century. The opener mustered 108* off 60 deliveries as Chennai finished at 210/4 in 20 overs.
