India A pacer Khaleel Ahmed dismissed India D captain Shreyas Iyer for a duck on Day 2 of their ongoing 2024 Duleep Trophy match on Friday, September 13. The game is being played at Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.
The dismissal came on the fourth ball of the third over. Khaleel delivered a full-length ball targeting the off-stump, tempting Shreyas to drive. The right-handed batter couldn’t keep the shot down and was caught by Aaqib Khan at mid-on. The 29-year-old failed to score and was out for a seven-ball duck.

At the time of writing, India D were 32/2 after nine overs, with Devdutt Padikkal (21) and Yash Dubey (7) at the crease. Khaleel Ahmed has taken two wickets for India A.

Riyan Parag, coming in at No. 4, adopted an aggressive approach and played some bold shots. However, his 37-run knock off 29 balls, featuring five boundaries and one six, was ended by Arshdeep Singh.
Tilak Varma had a tough outing, scoring 10 runs off 33 balls with only one boundary. India A struggled, losing half their side for just 93 runs within 25 overs.
Mumbai players Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian then forged a crucial 91-run partnership off 162 balls for the seventh wicket, stabilizing the innings for India A. Mulani narrowly missed a well-deserved century, scoring 89 off 187 balls with the help of eight boundaries and three sixes. Kotian added 53 off 80 balls.
India A was bowled out for 290 in the early morning of Day 2, after 84.3 overs. Harshit Rana was the standout bowler for India D, claiming four wickets, while Vidwath Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh each took two.
